Calvin Harris, the Scottish-hit maker and figurehead of modern dance music, delighted revellers around the world with the announcement of his new residency at Ibiza’s award-winning open-air venue, Ushuaïa Ibiza. Today, Harris reveals a set of stand-out artists who will join him on the poolside stage each Friday from August 2nd to September 6th this summer.
After topping global charts last year with "One Kiss" and "Promises" and propelling today’s fledgeling house revival, it makes sense that Harris handpicked a collection of prominent artists who are each making waves in the world of house. The line-up showcases British production trio, Disciples, acclaimed for the certified-platinum number two UK hit with Calvin Harris "How Deep Is Your Love", and the beloved British musician, songwriter, DJ and record producer, Duke Dumont. Tchami and his label-mate Mercer will bring their inimitable future house sounds, while underground tastemakers, Monki and Sonny Fodera offer a different side of the musical spectrum. Combine that with the infectious energy that the Mambo Brothers radiate, and the unique talent of burgeoning faces Generik, Secondcity, Illyus & Barrientos, Jamie River and Offaiah; Friday’s at Ushuaïa Ibiza will be one hell of a party.
